so, the timetable for moving into the house has been moved up significantly. the hope is to be in there by the end of june or there abouts. sweet.

my mma website is still a possibility. right now it hinges on me being able to cover more originizations than the UFC. Notthat I don't love the UFC, but I don't want to be just a UFC site, I want to write about MMA as a whole.

I should post more.

So, come September (or there about) I will be moving, once again. Back to Pleasant Valley, once again.INTO MY OWN HOUSEall mine. and when i say mine i mean that in the 30yr mortgage sense of the word mine. BUT STILL.me, a home owner.who knew??3 bedrooms, 2 living rooms, kitchen/dining room, 1 and 1/2 baths, 2 covered porches, a garage and a car port (under the back porch) a decent sized basement with a small room attached that will be my music room.pictures as soon as i can get them. i will be spending alot of time there because there is alot of work to be done


I'm also thinking about starting a website for MMA. Like, my reviews on current (and past) events. Hopeuflly I'll be able to do that by the end of the summer,

Did what he did. He admitted to it, he apologized. He couldve held out andsaid nothing, since it seems that the results of those tests could not have been made public without some law being broken somewhere.

Hopefully we can move past it. It wasn't a long and drawn out process where he was backed into a corner and had no other optionto confess.

Did everybody forget that we live in America?

Whatever happend to innocent until PROVEN guilty?

With Bonds, it seems like everybody is on the GUILTY because someone else said so bandwagon.

The best part about this, is that now even the perjury charges against him are more than likely going to get dropped, because it turns out that the substance he took was not banned by MLB when he took it, was not classified as a steroid by the government when he took, and oh yeah, was not illegal in any way shape or form when he took it. It didn't become any of those things until well after.

I do think steroids in baseball are a problem, and I do think something should be done about it.

But in order for something to be done, there has to be concrete proof. Mass amounts of speculation based on circumstancial evidence, no matter how convincing, is NOT concrete proof.

It seems that at least 50% of cases where a player is torn down for steroid use, it is based on what someone else has said about them.

Alot of people, when denouncing players suspected of steroid usage, will point to the Mitchell report. The Mitchell report, however, contains absolutly NO hard data / verifiable information. That whole report is based on interviews with people. If someone was named in that report it is only because someone else pointed a finger, not because there was any concret facts proving a players guilt. The entire report is based on heresay.

A player should not have to prove their innocence. Their innocence is assumed. It has to be. That is the way the justice system works, the principle that it is based on.

Far Beyond Driven

Frank Mir beat Antonio Noguiera fir the UFC Interim Heavyweight title last night, it what was supposed to be the toughest challenge of his career.

Frank Mir, who 4 years ago was in a horrific motorcycle accident, and was told he would never fight again.

He worked through some serious adversity, some very lackluster fights, and alot of personal demons. Then, last year, a better Frank Mir showed up and beat Antoni Hardonk, then in February of this year, he beat Brock Lesnar in what was for some reason thought to be a huge upset.

And last night, he showed up in the best shape of his career (even before the accident) and beat Noguiera, relying mainly on his standup, which was thought to be his weakest point.
Now sometime early next year, he gets to fight Brock Lesnar again, who since his loss to Frank Mir, went on to beat Heath Herring, and then a returning Randy Couture for the UFC Heavyweight Championship. The winner of tis fight will be the undisputed UFC heavyweight title. My money is on Frank Mir (quite literally, if I can find a place to bet lol)

My point being, I am a lazy fuck. I've used the metal plate and 18 screws in my leg as an excuse not to be as active as I used to be. Never really outwardly putting it forth as an excuse, but in my head, it was always there. That little bitch of a thought that told me it was ok to be a lazy fuck, because I probably couldn't handle the kind of active lifestyle I was used to living anyway. That little bitch of a thought that told me doing just enough to get by was ok. That little bitch of a thought that somehow rationalzed being close to 80 pounds overweight.

Well fuck that.

Wow, I've been slacking.

But to be fair, the last month or so hasn't really been inspirational, and most anything I couldve written about would have been mostly negative. Although, most of the negative makes the cut for this blog, so in hindsight, I should've just written about it as it happened.

On 11/23, my grandmother, Joan Wetzel died. She was 76 years old. She died at home, and not in pain, which his how she wouldve wanted it. It was sudden and unexpected. She will be greatly missed.

(*note:anything else negative seems almost trivial by comparison, and in reality it is. the worst part about the other negative is that it dragged on for almost 2 months, and was more of a major annoyance than anything else*)

So, the company I worked for providing Emergency Services here at IBM, Grubb and Ellis, lost their contract. The new company, Wackenhut, took over 12/1. We found out about the take over probably around the middle of October. And then didn't hear anything from Grubb and Ellis about relocation within the company, or from Wackenhut about their retention goals, for close to 2 weeks.

At first we were all leery of Wackenhut. We've hear, and researched, horror stories and found most of them to be based in fact. This amplified the uneasiness we already had since we still hadn't heard anything.

We all finally went for our Wackenhut interviews, and some of our fears were subsided whilenew concerns rose. The high point for me is that got a 2 dollar an hr pay increase and now make $16.50 an hour. Grubb and Ellis found some positions, then opened temporary positions for any one who wanted them, but I went with Wackenhut because I need the guarantee of a job, not the prospect of one.

So far the transition is working out allright. I work 3rd shift so its always easy going. I am working a shit ton of overtime right now while we get the new people trained. Time will tell with Wackenhut I guess. All of us (the 6 that were here before Wackenhut took over.) are pretty much all looking over our shoulders right now, cuz its hard to know what to expect with so many new people at once.

Taylor and I are doing great, as always. She and I and a bunch of friends are going to see Avenged Sevenfold in AC on 12/12. Can't wait for that. then on 12/14, I'm going to see the Jets play the Bills!!!!
